Accessibility Statement
What we're aiming for
This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That's the standard US courts apply under the ADA, and it's the bar we've built and tested against. It covers every page here: the main page, this one, the privacy and terms pages, and the links page.
What we've done
- Every part of the site works with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a visible focus outline. A skip link is the first thing you reach.
- Text contrast has been measured, including the text sitting over the band photo, where the background was sampled pixel by pixel rather than estimated.
- Every image has alternative text. The band photo and album artwork are described; the decorative colour bar is hidden from screen readers.
- The page uses real landmarks and a heading order that doesn't skip levels.
- Every booking form field has a visible label attached to it. Errors are described in words, not just colour, and are announced to screen readers.
- Turning on "reduce motion" in your operating system genuinely stops the parallax and the fade-in animations, rather than just dimming them.
- The page reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px wide and holds up at 200% zoom.
- With JavaScript switched off, all the content, links, and contact routes are still there.
How it was tested
Automated checks with axe and pa11y against WCAG 2.2 AA, plus Lighthouse. Those tools catch roughly a third of real problems, so they were followed by manual keyboard testing, measured contrast sampling, reduced-motion testing, and zoom and reflow checks at 320, 375, 768, 1024, 1280, and 1920 pixels wide.
Known limitations
- The site hasn't yet been tested end to end with a screen reader by someone who uses one daily. Automated tools and the accessibility tree only get you so far, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise.
If something doesn't work for you
Tell us and we'll fix it. Use the form on the site or message @yeahnahyeahofficial on Instagram. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we'll get back to you.
If you need anything on this site in another format, ask and we'll send it to you.
